We welcome inquiries and resumes from people who are interested in studying the advertising and branding process. We hire into
the following types of sales and research positions:
The RESEARCH CONSULTANT works with leading national advertisers and their agencies to build trusted business relationships for developing, measuring and improving messaging effectiveness. The position is responsible for identifying key decision makers and influencers, building relationships, understanding the needs of clients and potential prospects, putting together research solutions that will best meet those needs, and ensuring that those needs are
met or exceeded. The position requires superior people, communication and problem solving skills, as well as a strong interest in helping companies understand how communications shape how buyers and influencers think and feel about brands and causes.
The ACCOUNT RESEARCH MANAGER works with major advertisers and
agencies on copy, tracking and concept studies, and other forms of
quantitative communications research. The position is responsible
for the design, implementation and analysis of research studies for
existing clients and for developing new relationships. The position
requires superior research, communication and people skills, as well as
a strong interest in helping companies understand how communications
shape brand attitude.
The ASSOCIATE RESEARCH DIRECTOR works with blue-chip companies and as
an internal consultant on studies aimed at improving our understanding of
how advertising works. Position has a hands on, quantitative focus. It
requires the ability to design leading edge research and explain technical
findings to non-technical audiences. Candidates should have a strong interest
in advertising communications, superior analytic and communication skills,
and an advanced degree in communications, statistics and/or relevant social
science field.
The RESEARCH ASSISTANT is our entry level professional position. It is an
excellent opportunity for someone interested in working on all aspects of
survey research projects and thinking about how advertising works. We
prefer some training in one or more of the skill areas upon which research
is based or a solid liberal arts background.
INTERNSHIPS
are available to students interested in and passionate
about advertising and research. Past interns have been majors in communications, statistics, computer
science, psychology and sociology. G&R Interns are able to hone their research, analytic, communicative and project management skills through a variety of tasks related to the delivery of survey research results and meta-research studies of communications effectiveness. Interns are given a unique opportunity to work closely with senior staff; something that is not possible in many organizations.
